| If you want to see if diving is for
you, you canTry
Scuba. This takes half-a-day to one-day It's fun and
not expensive at all. The first independent diver level is the famous SSI Open Water Diver course. This takes three or four days. You can sign up for free theory online and then do the final theory and water portions with us when you get here! No strings attached! If you are pressed for time, we recommend the SSI Scuba Diver course. This entitles you to dive to 12 metres with an active Dive Leader. You can upgrade this to SSI Open Water Diver at any time, anywhere. Yyou will be given your permanent plastic SSI certification cards by us at Scuuba Doo almost immediately after completing the course. The cards are of course valid for life! |
Don't stop at the Open Water level. There is so much to
learn. The next step is the SSI Advanced Adventurer level. After this, you are certified to dive down to a maximum depth of 30 metres. The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue course is great fun and highly useful. You will become a much better buddy and a much more self-confident diver. The Respond Right course is an excellent First Aid course. It is also suitable for non-diving family members. The Diver Stress & Rescue course is but one of many, many SSI Specialty courses. This is where SSI really excels. You can combine these Specialties to give you the SSI Specialty Diver rating, the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver rating and the SSI Master Diver rating. If you are an experienced diver irrespective of level, you can document that experience using SSI's unique Experience Level ratings. Just bring your log book(s) to us and we'll fix the corresponding experience card for you! |
The SSI
Dive Control Specialist
is the equivalent of an Assistant Instructor in most other
diver training organizations. It gives you the practical and theoretical foundations to become a Dive Leader. It is a course that gives great personal benefits even if you don't want to become a dive professional. It is also a rating in growing demand at SSI dive centers all over the world. SSI now also offers the SSI Dive Guide rating. It is an excellent way to learn how to be a proper dive guide for those who don't want to assist in teaching. By doing a little more theory, you can achieve the new SSI Divemaster rating. For those who want to become SSI Open Water Instructors or who want to cross over, we can arrange Open Water Instructor training at an Instructor Training Course. |
