Daily Dive Trips from Phuket
Phuket is a fabulous destination in its own right. It offers everything from simple roadside fare to restaurants with top ratings in Gault Millau. It has cheap backpacker hangouts as well as some of the most exclusive six star hotels anywhere in the world. And it has an unbeatable range of activities for the whole family as well as for the single traveller.

It is therefore quite simply the best base from which to dive the excellent sites of the Andaman Sea. With us you can leave your Phuket hotel in the morning, dive the famous Similan Islands in the north or the every-bit-as-good Hin Daeng and Hin Muang sites in the south, or Koh Ha or the Phi Phi Islands, yet still be home in time for dinner.

But don't forget the nearby Raya Islands or Koh Doc Mai either. They're very underrated! We'll be happy to show you why.

The Raya Islands
King Cruiser, Shark Point and Phi Phi   Further afield - best of the Andaman Sea
The Raya Islands actually consist of three islands: the island of Raya Yai (or 'big Raya') and the two islands separated by a small channel which together constitute Raya Noi (or 'small Raya).

Raya Yai is probably the most popular spot for diving in the whole of the Andaman Sea. In high season it is packed with boats, yet most congregate at only 4 to 5 different sites. There are some 20-plus sites on Raya Yai alone, ranging in depth from ankle-deep and perfect for newbies to over 50 metres and perfect for tech divers. Most dive sites are a maximum of 30 metres deep and some of the best sites are in fact very seldom dived ...

Raya Noi is similar to Raya Yai with the exception of its northern and southern tips. These exhibit strong currents but constitute world class diving. The South Pinnacle in particular sports the greatest chance in the immediate vicinity of Phuket to see the great Manta rays, but the currents are definitely not for new or inexperienced divers ...

These sites are a little bit more distant than the Raya Islands but are easily worth the trip.

The King Cruiser is the most popular wreck in the Andaman Sea. She lies about a nautical mile away from beautiful Anemone Reef which she struck before sinking.

In the immediate vicinity is also a great third dive site, the famous Shark Point. Yes, there really are leopard sharks there, and no, they're not dangerous. On these trips, Koh Doc Mai is usually included as one out of three dives.

The Phi Phi Islands are further away again, and they are extremely pretty, both above and below water. There are lots of dive sites here but most Phuket operators choose to dive only the best three or four.

We can also arrange trips to Phi Phi by speedboat and by Speed Cat if you're in a hurry.

We believe liveaboard trips to the Similan Islands are by far the best way to dive this magnificent archipelago, but if you are pressed for time and have no other option, we are happy to arrange day trips to the Similan Islands as well. Be prepared for an early start!

Hin Daeng, Hin Muang and Koh Ha are dive sites which easily rival the Similans. We do them by Speed Catamaran in season. You don't even have to get up particularly early and you won't be home very late either! This is one fast boat!

We can sometimes also arrange charter trips to Raya Noi by Speed Cat or speedboat if you want to get home early to your hotel.
